My roommate was feeling quite depressive and I hadn’t seen him in a few days, locking himself away in his room. He was normally so alive and talkative and I felt really bad being busy all of the time with work.

I had an hour or so to myself and I wondered how I could help him. I was browsing for gifts for his birthday as well, just to see if that could help him. Thankfully his birthday was on a Sunday, so I could make sure he got it. I was browsing through and something caught my eye, “New U body wash”.

It described itself as being incredibly refreshing and to “bring out the real you”. I thought it sounded fun and the roommate I knew would have found it funny with it’s almost broken English.

Sunday rolled around and I gave him my present. He seemed to smile a little at it and I just forced him out of bed and told him to go use it. He didn’t want to, but I made him. It didn’t look like he had moved in a few days, and I think it would have helped. I had been cooking for him as well, so I just had to make sure I looked after him.

He shouted me over after he had been in the shower for a minute, it was still running and I open the shower door to find this lad. He was fit, and wow he seemed quite happy at it.

“Mate, you’ve gotta try it. I know it’s my birthday gift but it really is well good”
